PING TREE

Ping tree lead generation refers to a process of lead distribution using Ping-post delivery to efficiently distribute leads to multiple buyers with varying criteria for leads. In addition to different lead criteria, each buyer often has different price points and volume requirements.

Each lead can be sold exclusively or multiple times. The leads are distributed by pinging a “tree” of lead buyers to match the leads appropriately and allowing the buyers to receive the ping and bid on the lead. They will bid on the lead based on the criteria we send to the ping tree.

An example in the Reverse Mortgage space:

On a typical pingtree panel, there may be between 10 and 100 lenders set as buyers. The bids could range from $1.00 all the way to $100. This is based on the quality, whether it is an exclusive lead or a shared lead, time of year and the attributes of that particular lead.

Ping attributes that would determine what a buyer is willing to bid for a lead could include, but not be limited to the following list.

  • Age
  • Residential status
  • Income
  • Number of existing loans
  • Affordability
  • Loan amount
  • State/Zip Code
